Campisa will be exhibiting at The Big 5 Construct Egypt 2021, in Cairo

Campisa will be exhibiting at The Big 5 Construct Egypt 2021, the international building and construction show to be held at the Cairo International Convention & Exhibition Centre (CICC), in Cairo, from 26 to 29 June.

We interviewed Alessio GironiExport Manager, on the importance of resuming attendance at trade fairs and conventions to forge new relationships and partnerships. The absence of trade fairs in the last year and a half has made itself felt: customers and suppliers have repeatedly expressed the desire to find a physical place to cultivate business opportunities.

There is an air of recovery, there is movement. Campisa has many projects and news for customers, suppliers and partners. At The Big 5 Construct, where national and international exhibitors in the building and construction sector meet, the stand will be manned by one of our dealers, Mechanic L.L.C., a local company that has been the spokesman for the Campisa brand in Egypt for years.

But let’s give the floor to Mr. Gironi.

1. How did the idea of taking part in this trade fair come about, considering the somewhat uncertain period for personal travel?

Egypt is a country that has experienced strong growth in recent years, and statistics predict a 10% increase between 2021-2022 in the construction sector. Anyone who has visited this country will have noticed the changes in recent years. The Covid-19 epidemic has slowed down this process but has not stopped it.

If you look at data, there are numerous projects to modernise airports, ports and transport networks and to build schools, hospitals, shopping centres and entertainment facilities.

Bearing in mind also that the Suez Canal is an almost obligatory route for exports to Asian countries, participation and presence in this country are becoming increasingly strategic.

2. What does it mean for Campisa to take part in this fair, a reference point for the construction and infrastructure sector in Egypt? What projects have you already concluded and are you carrying out in this country?

For Campisa, being present at the Big 5 Egypt at a particular time like the one we are experiencing is synonymous with solidity. We are really growing on several fronts: from the acquisition of important orders at national and international level, to the opening of new foreign branches, to the expansion of the production site with investments aimed at improving production capacity and product quality.

Our presence at the fair essentially aims to achieve two objectives:
1. the consolidation of Campisa’s relationship with the local dealer Mechanic L.L.C.;
2. confirmation and visibility of Campisa’s local presence in Egypt in the eyes of general contractors.

We have already been working for years in the food sector in cold logistics in this country. Now we would like to conquer other market shares in the logistics sector.

3. Have you already planned any other trade fairs for this year? How do you select the trade fairs and which are the most strategic countries for Campisa?

We will not be organising any other fairs directly, but we have budgeted contributions for our Official Distributors with whom we will be present at local fairs including India, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

Next year Campisa will be aiming at R+T – the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection where we will be exhibiting directly and where we will be presenting the innovations we are working on.

4. Campisa has always stood out for its innovative capacity. What new products and/or innovations do you have in the pipeline? Can you tell us something?

As I mentioned earlier, we are working on several new products. I can tell you in advance that we are focusing on several projects related to the safety and performance of our products.

In the previous interview I mentioned the new industrial centre, which covers an area of more than 20,000 square metres, where we have installed the innovative plant that allows us to optimise the quality of the coating for the components requested by our customers.

Those of you who know us know that we have always followed a problem-solving approach in order to create effective products in terms of quality and cost management, such as our hydraulic motor for Fidelity® sectional overhead doors.

So I invite you to visit us in large numbers to see what’s new. In the meantime, keep following our blog and our social networks.

We thank you and look forward to interviewing you at the next fair.
